The resource sector is facing increased risks from civil unrest and extreme weather events. Industry safety and security programs often fail to deliver the basic skills training that would help employees survive an extreme situation in a hostile environment before help arrives. We can help bridge that training gap with highly effective survival skills training, customized to suit your business needs and operating environment.
Violent attacks against resource extraction operations are unfortunately becoming an all-too familiar news story.
From domestic terrorism, to suicide bombings, hostage-taking, and acts of sabotage across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, resource operations and their employees are increasingly under attack. Extreme weather events are also on the rise, causing more flooding, landslides, wild fires, and drought.
For the resources sector these all translate into increased risk of damage to vital infrastructure and equipment, and constitute a heightened threat to the safety of employees.
The Hawke-EST blog offers in-depth articles and research which explore the extreme situation risks facing the resources sector today, and advice on how resource companies can better prepare their employees to face the life-threatening challenges of these risks.

The scary fact is that routine hazards aren't the only threat to your employees' safety. What if the controlled workplace environment is subject to a sudden terrorist attack, environmental disaster, or other extreme and unpredictable situation? What if your employees need to flee their work site or if they are left to fend for themselves in hostile terrain?
Our training focuses on providing operation-specific survival skills so your employees will be psychologically and physically prepared to deal with an extreme situation where they live and work.
Tell me moreOur expert survival trainers will provide your employees with the skills they need to survive an extreme situation.
We will tailor the survival training to ensure it is relevant to the specific survival needs of your employees in their operating environment, and to respond to the risks of extreme situations most likely to occur in that environment.
